SC2 web replay

SC2 Web Replay

Watch any StarCraft 2 replay in your browser. No client install. No download. The whole match plays back inside the page.

What an SC2 web replay actually is

A replay file isn't a video — it's a log of every action in the game. The traditional way to watch one is to open StarCraft 2 and let the game re-simulate the match. A web replay does the same thing without the game: the file is parsed in your browser and a viewer renders unit movements, battles, and the economy on a 2D map. You scrub the timeline like a video.

No StarCraft 2 install needed

If you don't have the game on the device you're using, you can still watch the replay. The viewer runs in any modern browser.

Scrubbable timeline

Jump to any second of the match. Watch the same battle twice. Pause and inspect supply totals at the exact moment the fight broke out.

Fog of war from either side

Switch perspectives. See the game from player 1's vision or player 2's. Useful for understanding why someone reacted late.

Movement heatmaps

See where the army actually fought across the whole game. Long replays compress into a single map of activity.

How to watch a replay in the browser

1

Upload or open a link

Drop a .SC2Replay or .rep file on the home page, or open any /replay/ link someone shared with you.

2

Wait a few seconds

The parser runs server-side. When it finishes the page loads with the full replay ready to play.

3

Watch

Hit play. Scrub. Slow it down. Switch perspectives. Everything works without leaving the browser tab.

What files work

  • .SC2Replay — every StarCraft 2 expansion (WoL, HotS, LotV, Co-op).
  • .rep — StarCraft: Brood War. Renders in the same viewer with appropriate icons.
  • Replays from any region, any patch, 1v1 and team games.

Desktop, tablet, mobile

Replays upload from a desktop browser only — it's where players keep their files. Once a replay is on the site, anyone can watch it on any device. The viewer scales to mobile and tablet so you can review a game on your phone during a break.

FAQ

Do I need StarCraft 2 installed to watch a replay here?
No. The browser viewer renders the replay without the game. That's the entire point of a web replay.
Will it work on my phone?
Yes for watching. Uploading still has to happen on a desktop browser where your replay files live.
How accurate is the rendering compared to the in-game replay?
Positions, build order, kills, and supply are exact — they come straight from the replay's event log. Visual unit animations are simplified compared to the SC2 client.
Can I share a specific moment?
Yes. Replay URLs are permanent, so you can paste them in Discord, Reddit, or Liquipedia and the recipient watches in their browser.

Open any replay without launching the game

Drop a .SC2Replay file on the home page and the web viewer takes it from there.
